What We Offer

The Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation is here to assist our county’s organizations contribute to the local quality of life, and one of the ways that is done is through grant funding.  KCCEF accepts grant applications to enable projects and programs impacting a wide range of needs in the community. In the past, grants have been awarded for projects involving arts and culture, health & human services, community betterment, historic preservation, and more. Proof of non-profit status, or sponsorship by a government entity is required. Applications must be completed using one of the links below, or you may request a paper grant from your community representative.

The Process

Grant applications are reviewed by the local grant committee, and projects which are selected to be funded are presented to the full KCCEF board for approval. After the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines board, our parent organization, ensures that all criteria have been met and gives their approval, all applicants are notified by mail of the decision of the board. Applicants whose projects are approved  will be invited to receive their funding at an award ceremony, where they will have a chance to meet with others who are making a positive difference in Keokuk County and their respective towns.
